Okay, I was wondering, because it did sound something a multiple would say when you said, “I have 6 people living with me,” and I am aware of multiplicity and I have a friend or two who are a part of that spectrum.

Alright, so, then that opens up a whole new slew of questions. Please correct me if I am not PC, or if I offend you.

Out of the both of you who have replied to me (you and sibylsillysuperiority), both identify as being more than one person. You, a multiple, and them, a schizophrenic.

Do you think that more fictionkin often then not fall into these categories, or is it just coincidence?

Also, are all of your (forgive me, I do not know the terms) identities this character? Alois? (I haven’t watched the movie/heard of this character before.) Or do just one of your identities have Alois’s memories?

I can’t be sure about the first one. I know one other person who is also a multiple and a fictionkin so it does seem to be a trend, but I haven’t really went out searching so I can’t say I’ve met enough to come up with a pattern yet.

As for the second question, no not all the people (would you like it if someone called you an ‘identity’? ;) ) in my system identify as Alois. Though it would be pretty hilarious to see Sherlock think he was. There are two people with Alois’s memories, though we each only have parts of the whole, as when they were first coming it sort of all just flooded me over and I couldn’t handle it, so Shikyo helped out by splitting them off into a sort of placeholder Alois, who is integrating with me bit by bit so that neither of us break down.

Speaking of which, I sort of promised Shikyo that I was letting her have the front for our birthday, and we both just noticed that I was supposed to be asleep about an hour ago. |D;; I’ll be glad to answer anything else you want to ask next time I’m around. Ta for now~

I’m sorry! People. I’ll keep that in mind!

Haha, I’m afraid I’m still curious, but I shouldn’t ask any more questions of you right now.

Good night, and thank you for being ever so helpful!

No, it’s all very interesting to me.

What is a Mindscape?

That’s getting into a WHOLE other topic, actually. You see, first and foremost, setting the whole fictionkin thing aside, I’ve been what’s called a “Multiple” for as long as I can remember. Multiplicity is when you aren’t the only one living in your body. There’s currently 12 people living in this one body, of which myself and my sister are the “original”(s). “Mindscape” or “Headspace” or “Pocket Universe” or whatever else people call it ( Mind Palace comes to mind, though that’s a slightly different thing. Also, Alex just realized that I have a Mind Palace in his Mindscape. It’s like Mind-ception. - SH ) is pretty much a place you can access in your brain where everyone else lives/stays. It’s as physical as it is mental, almost like a lucid dream. I can interact with stuff and touch things, but I can’t be physically harmed. Up until recently my “Mindscape” consisted on one large Mansion where we all had our own separate rooms, and I hadn’t even thought of leaving the house to see what was outside. Just recently we actually realized that there wasn’t JUST the Mansion, and so came to the consensus to rework the living arrangements, so that we’re now more of a little town rather than all cooped up indoors.

Okay, I was wondering, because it did sound something a multiple would say when you said, “I have 6 people living with me,” and I am aware of multiplicity and I have a friend or two who are a part of that spectrum.

Please instruct me on more PC terms as you see fit, and I’d like to point out that if this post is in any way offensive, I am truly sorry, since this is all rather new to me.

My main question, I guess, is how? Though that’s not very eloquent.

Like.

How are you a character? A fictional character? Did you know you were this person/character before or after reading/watching about this person/character?

Not to mention, if someone says, for example, they feel like Katniss, but they’re a 22 year old woman. The books are fairly recent. You couldn’t be Katniss your whole life before The Hunger Games came out. Could you? I mean, I don’t know, or understand? I’m just asking.

Or do you read the books and go, “omg! that’s me! this is a story about my life. these are my memories!” As alexandershea said?

I’m just super confused.

I know I already threw my two cents in, but let me try to say it a bit better without rambling yeah I’m going to end up rambling I already know it By the way, from my view on things you’re actually doing really good at not being offensive, actually. ^_^

Basically, my end of things is something like repressed memories up until the point that they unlocked themselves. I was watching Black Butler 2, and then my mind just started filling in the blanks. The voices, the memories, first and foremost the things that were actually shown in the anime and then splintering out from there. It’d never happened with any other show or movie or series of anything ever, and I figured something was up. It actually took my sister pointing out that y’know, if I have the memories of Alois and everything then how else would I end up with those other than at one point being him? And then I laughed at her because I mean, come on I could totally believe having “fictional” characters as part of my System, but actually BEING a fictional character somehow? I wasn’t buying it.

And then as the memories splintered out and kept interrupting my dreams, and occasionally my waking life, and everything else I just finally said “Fuck it. Maybe there’s actually something to this.” and started really considering it as an option, rather than my other theories that I had which were mostly really dumb.

Overall I don’t really bother thinking about it too much. It’s just one of those weird things that I never mention to anyone in real life except for the few people I absolutely trust, otherwise I’d afraid I’d get thrown in the crazy house or put on so many drugs that my brain turns into mush. Like, in reality there’s no way to breach the subject without sounding crazy. “Oh, hi, I’m Alex. 18 years old, live in America, reincarnated from Alois Trancy. Yeah, that Trancy. The one from Black Butler. No, I’m serious.”

On the other hand, it does affect me in tiny ways. Like, America really pisses me off sometimes and I lament the fact that my grandfather didn’t move to England to be with my Grandmother and not the other way around, because I am in no way proud about my nationality. Never have been, for as long as I can remember. And sometimes I have really strange or horrible dreams that I wake up from, and there have been the VERY rare occasion when whatever I’d dreamed is so bad that I mistake myself for actually being in the Trancy manor, or automatically call out for Claude when I wake up. Or both. But that’s only happened a handful of times in the couple of years that have passed since this all started. Also, I sometimes slip into a English accent, though I can’t be sure if that’s an Alois-Past Life thing or just the fact that I have 6 people living with me in my Mindscape that have various forms of British accents and my mom was a little disposed to slipping into the accent herself because of her mom being British. (Scottish, actually, to be precise. Edinburgh.)

Well look at that. I ended up rambling again. figures. Hope I’m not boring you with all this. |D;;
